Congratulations to Bruce Phillips and his team for receiving an Award of Merit for the second year in a row from the Virginia Beach Beautification Commission for Haygood Shopping Center. A wet spring brought many things to landscapes across the state including a large rainbow above the Richmond office and shop one evening.

JRGM participated in th 21st annual Peninsula Housing and Builders Association Home and Garden Expo in March. The theme this year was "There's No Place Like Home." JRGM's booth, led by Enhancement Manager John Forbes, was an inviting backyard oasis.

Enhancement Managers Laura Johnson and Greta Bjorkquist both became Virginia Certified Horticulturists. They were awarded certificates from the Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association. Congrats to Laura and Greta!

Virginia was pounded with a winter storm turning the central and western parts of the state into a winter wonderland. James River Grounds Management worked diligently through the two day storm to clear property sites and parking lots.

James River Grounds Management ran/walked the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10K for the benefit of Harlie Caroline Holton. She is an amazing little girl who's undaunting spirit has touched our hearts. James River donates our time and materials for the Newland Communities Life is Good pumpkin festival at Ladysmith Village in Ruther Glen. This festival was part of a national event that Newland Communities hosts each year, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for local and national charities. James River was honored to be a part of an event that brings communities together while benefiting programs that make life a little easier for families in need.
