The James River Grounds 100 race will feature some up and coming open-wheel drivers, as well as veterans on the circuit. USAC was the training ground for many of todays NASCAR drivers, including Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne and Ryan Newman. The James River Grounds 100 will run prior to the SunTrust Indy Challenge IndyCar Series race on Saturday, June 28. Our partnership with Richmond International Raceway is a classic example of the relationship building that is the cornerstone of James Rivers growth, said Maria Candler, president and CEO of James River Grounds Management. We are proud to work withAmericas Premier Short Track to make the James River Grounds 100 USAC Silver Crown Series race a success. Taking our partnership to another level in 2008 is very exciting for all of us. James River Grounds Management has been providing landscape management to a predominantly commercial client base since 1989. With four branch offices located inVirginia, James River Grounds Managements services include grounds maintenance, ornamental plant health care, landscape installation and enhancements, irrigation, snow removal, arbor care, drainage, parking lot sweeping and soil testing and analysis. The James River Grounds 100 USAC Silver Crown Series race is scheduled to run on Saturday, June 28, at Richmond International Raceway, prior to the SunTrust Indy Challenge IndyCar Series race. Tickets, which include both races, are $35 (reserved) and $30 (general admission). The weekend begins Friday, June 27, with NBC12 Day, featuring practice and pole qualifying for the SunTrust Indy Challenge, James River Grounds 100 and USAC National Sprint Car Series; followed by the USAC National Sprint Car Series race. Fridays ticket also includes an autograph session with all of the IndyCar Series drivers. Fridays tickets are $15. Children 12 and under are admitted free in general admission sections both nights. May 9, 2005 James River Grounds Management has been in business since 1989 when it was founded by Lazarchic and Hildebrand. In a recent letter to customers, Lazarchic states, "This is a business decision made by Mike Hildebrand and myself to reward all the employees that have contributed to this company. This sale has been a well planned and thoughtfully executed strategy to continue with the positive growth and family culture of James River Grounds Management. I will remain involved in an advisory capacity and serve on the board of directors." Lazarchic continues, "As Mike and I pass the baton to the new leaders of our organization, we take great pride in the foundation that we have built. We are satisfied that the entrepreneurial spirit is continuing into the next generation." By selling the business to the existing management team, Lazarchic and Hildebrand can rest assured that the strong customer service philosophy they have developed will remain unchanged and that employees and customers can expect the same firm they’ve grown to know. James River Grounds Management, Inc. has offices located in Glen Allen, Portsmouth, Williamsburg and Charlottesville, Virginia. The company employs more than 60 full-time employees and more than 100 seasonal employees. The new management team is poised to position the company over the next five years for strategic growth and provide employees with clear advancement opportunities.
